Design for Europe Development of new product concepts representing real innovations in design and technology which help people in their everyday lives in the home, at work or school, during sports and leisure activities or in the context of health and healthcare. As in previous competitions, special emphasis is placed on teamwork. Because truly original product concepts are only possible through interdisciplinary cooperation, the BraunPrize sets out to stimulate creativity in a dynamic team environment. All product ideas are invited (there is no obligation to submit entries which are relevant to the Braun product range), however, software products and interface designs are excluded from the scope of the competition.
Entries are submitted in two stages: In the first stage, the jury assesses the projects on the basis of design sketches, photographs of the design model, technical drawings and a project description. These documents should be submitted in German or English. Videos and CD-ROMs may also be submitted to complement the other entry documents. If your project is selected, you will be asked to submit the design model for assessment by the jury in the second round of judging.
